Barbara G. Kempen

Barbara G. Kempen is the owner of Solid Health Insurance Services and the “go-to” person for all your insurance needs including health, life, disability, long term care, and business insurance.

With an MBA and over 25 years of business management experience, Barbara brings her incisive analytical skill to helping client’s craft the perfect insurance package. Unlike a big, impersonal corporation, Barbara’s mission is to offer each client personal attention. Her genuine desire to help each client tailor the optimum insurance coverage for their needs sets Barbara apart from the competition, as does her compassion and warmth.

Barbara enjoys her involvement in the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and serves as a co-chair for Women in Business at GABA Southern California , the German American Business Association. She supports local community causes, such as sponsorship of school events in West Los Angeles, where she serves her client and lives with her family.

Jacob Schmalz

Jacob Schmalz is a licensed insurance agent dedicated to helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate their health insurance options with confidence. He takes pride in providing personalized guidance, clear communication, and tailored solutions that meet each client’s unique needs.

Jacob attended Santa Monica College, where he developed the strong work ethic and people-focused approach that continue to shape his professional career today. He is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients and ensuring they have the knowledge and support needed to make informed insurance decisions.

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Some of his favorite hobbies include going to the gym, playing basketball, and exploring California’s beautiful hiking trails. He especially enjoys discovering scenic viewpoints and experiencing the diverse natural landscapes that make California unique.
