By now, you should have received your new health insurance subscriber ID card for 2023. Be sure you register your insurance card online, which allows you to easily find doctors who are in your health plan’s network, review your benefits, view your claim history, and make your monthly payments. If you have an HMO, it is critical that you select your preferred primary care physician. If you want, you can also change your primary doctor each month if you do not like your selection.
Make sure to discard any old subscriber ID cards from your wallet to avoid any confusion with your healthcare providers about which insurance card to use. Once you have your subscriber ID or medical record number, you can register online to do the following:
- Pay premiums and set up auto-pay.
- Securely print ID cards.
- Assign your preferred doctor, and change doctors if you wish.
- Review drugs list, find pharmacies, and mail order info.
